What's a Rainbow Math Party? Rather than being a class or workshop, it's an educational experience designed to feel like a party.  Each party includes exploration of a math topic, a hands-on math craft, games, and a party treat!  

Rainbow Math Parties are available for your private birthday party or special event.  Parties are held in your home or event space for 3-7 kids, with a minimum of one Parent volunteer present.  Below you can see just a few examples of the themes available for Rainbow Math Parties.

We will be using polygon pattern blocks to create a tessellated design that will be colored with special non toxic markers and heat transferred (by the instructor) onto a t-shirt. 

Artists can choose whether to create an optical illusion design made from only a rhombus or they can go wild and make up their own tessellated design. The artists will be able to take home their finished shirts and wear them with pride!

$80 per artist + transportation costs

Artists will learn about a mathematical concept called curves of pursuit. Once they learn the technique they will be able to choose from a triangle, square, or pentagon from which to create their pattern.

The design will be colored with special non toxic markers and heat transferred (by the instructor) onto a tote bag that the artists will take home with them.

$70 per artist + transportation costs

Artists will practice using some of the traditional tools of mathematics, a compass and straight edge, to create an eye catching geometric design from a set of written instructions. They will be able to choose from several designs with various levels of difficulty and complexity.

The design will be colored with special non toxic markers and heat transferred (by the instructor) onto a functional jigsaw puzzle that the artists will take home with them. Makes a creative and thoughtful gift!
